The Country Club Dress Code
Cable knits, quilted layers and a lead that knows its place.

The country-club wardrobe is built from familiar elements: restrained colour, an easy layer and practical details that do their job without becoming the whole outfit. For a dog, the same approach begins with a comfortable harness and a clear understanding of how the pieces will be worn.
Start with a properly fitted harness
A stylish dog harness still needs to suit your companion’s proportions. The chest should sit comfortably without restricting the front legs, and the neck opening needs to work with the shape of the dog. Compare measurements with the specific product’s size chart, then follow the supplied fitting instructions when the harness arrives.
The Kensington Plaid Harness brings a heritage check to a padded Y-shaped design. Let the plaid be the visual point of interest and keep any additional layer simple. A pattern does not need to be repeated across an entire outfit to feel intentional.
Choose texture before decoration
A sporting fleece or quilted vest introduces interest through texture. Cream, forest and navy sit easily beside brown and olive, while a single contrasting piece can give a wardrobe variety. The Sporting Club Fleece and Regent Quilted Harness Vest are different approaches to that sporting reference; choose based on the garment’s function and fit rather than combining layers automatically.
Check the final combination
Clothing changes the space beneath a harness. If you add a sweater or fleece, check the complete arrangement again. Fastenings should remain accessible, the lead attachment should be unobstructed and your companion should be able to move naturally. Do not assume a harness adjusted for an uncovered chest will fit the same way over a garment.
A guide, not a dress rule
Use The Regent Fit size guide to compare measurements before choosing Small, Medium or Large. The back dimension on our harness chart describes the panel, not the dog’s full back length. If the measurements point to different sizes, ask the Concierge for help.
Explore the Country Club Edit as a small wardrobe of options. The aim is a companion who can enjoy the walk, the arrival and the afternoon with the same ease.
